     There are certain exclusions. If you have a pacemaker or other neurostimulator, this may not be the right treatment for you. Also, if you are pregnant, because this device can induce labor. However, the SerenityStim is FDA approved to control pain after a c-section which will allow the mother to breast feed immediately without the need to rely on opiates. If you are taking blood thinners or have hemophilia, this would also present a problem due to the very tiny needles where the leads are inserted on the ear. If you have eczema or an outer ear infection, this would need to be resolved.
